In this doctoral research, I examine not only what leadership development programs produce, but how those outcomes come about. Through an in-depth case study of a first-level leadership development program in a large global organization, the study explores how leaders grow and make meaning through transformative learning experiences, reflection, and relational environments. Insights from this research continue to inspire my Functional Leadership Development™ approach, alongside other theoretical and practical influences.
